The next half of this season has to begin and show lovers the wake of Tom's passing, but executive producer Jon Bokenkamp has revealed how Season 5 will finish. This midseason finale ended about the horrible show that Liz was comatose for ten weeks following her husband's departure, and she needed to learn he had been gone out of her hospital bed. The premiere episode ended on a flash-forward that appeared to signify the death of Tom Keen earlier instead of later, and the midseason finale disclosed that Tom really was doomed to expire.
